    We are looking for staff who delight in developing multi-disciplinary detailed design solutions with the construction team and enjoy working in the fast moving pace of the design-and-construct arena.

     

    Job Description: Our Tunnelling team focuses on underground structures designs such underground stations, tunnels, underground water structures etc. Recently, they have been working on projects such as Thames Tideway Project, CrossRail, HS2, Lower Thames Crossing.

     

    As a Graduate working within Tunnelling team at our London’s office, you will be involved but not limited to:

    • Conceptual and detail designs of stations and metro tunnels
    • Assessments of ground movements
    • Inspections of underground structures
    • Supervising construction sites

     

    You can work towards Chartered Engineer with ICE or Geological Society and will also gain experience in:

    • Project management 
    • Client representations
    • Reviewing designs
    • International projects

    The minimum qualifications for this position are:

     

    • We expect our candidates to have graduated with or expecting to graduate with a minimum 2.1 or Merit Bachelors/MEng in Civil Engineering/Geology/Structural Engineering
    • and MSc degree in Tunneling Engineering, Engineering Geology, Mining Engineering, Soil Mechanics or relevant specialization with final (or expected) minimum result Merit (2.1)

    The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

     

    • Excellent communication verbal and written
    • Very strong mathematical and numerical skills
    • High interests in tunnels and underground structures
    • Willingness to travel across UK and sometimes abroad
