Our team in Melbourne are seeking a Principal Tunnel Engineer to help grow our team of tunnelling experts to service our growing tunnelling portfolio. You will recruit talent, provide technical leadership, mentoring and advice, while servicing numerous clients within infrastructure, mining, gas, power and water utilities and building sectors. To excel in this role the key success factors will include strategic thinking and communication skills that positively influence outcomes, effective technical leadership and project delivery, broad competency in tunnel engineering, as well as specialist expertise in specific area(s). About You This position requires you to take a key role in the development of Jacobs tunnelling and geotechnical business in the ANZ region, as well as the promotion of knowledge sharing and technical excellence. Key requirements for the role

    • Relevant undergraduate degree
    • Chartered CPEng or equivalent
    • Experience working in a team environment
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Sound experience in various areas of tunnelling investigation, analysis and design and associated infrastructure projects
    • At least 10 years tunnelling experience
    • Sound understanding of relevant tunnelling standards within areas of expertise
    • Sound interpersonal and technical management skills, demonstrated ability to lead a group of tunnelling engineers in delivering solutions
    • Positive track record in client management and development. Ability to build & maintain strong client & team relationships
    • Experience in planning and execution to achieve business goals
    • A strong knowledge of the Australian market place, in particular industry and major Clients, is preferred
