We currently are seeking an experienced Project Resident Engineer for a regional based role in Co. Wicklow. You will have responsibility for site supervision activities in relation to Wastewater Treatment Plant, tunnelled river crossing, interceptor sewer, demolition and site clearance of existing structures, short and long sea outfall, upgrade of the existing rock armour revetment on shoreline.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
The Project Resident Engineer will have overall responsibility for site supervision and contract administration. Key responsibilities will include:
Management of Project Supervision Teams – There will be a separate team at each site.
Client liaison and reporting
Management of Contractors Compliance with the contract requirements
Management of project delivery
Assessment of Monthly payment applications
Financial reporting and assessment of any contract price adjustment events
Interface between the contractor and existing on-site operations team
Stakeholder liaison management and engagement
Hold a degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent professional qualification in Engineering
Have at least 15 years satisfactory post graduate experience, of which at least 10 years, was in on-site supervision, contract administration and project management of civil engineering works
Have an excellent knowledge of civil engineering works, ancillary mechanical & electrical Works, building construction, concrete construction, and site works & landscaping
Experience managing design build forms of contract
Experience in contract administration of large projects
Experience in large diameter pipeline projects which include valving, control, and monitoring equipment
Experience in Water Treatment Plant projects, Micro-tunnelling, and Marine Works
Excellent Project Management skills
Be capable of writing clear and concise reports and keeping works records.
Be proficient in the use of computers in relation to document handling and production of reports
Excellent communication skills, coordination, and organisational skills
Excellent awareness of Health & Safety legislation and regulations.
